Bad Day on the Lake (for these guys)

So, apparently this 30-ish year old guy and his daughter were out on the lake Friday night/Saturday morning around 2:45 am, when the dad got "distracted" by talking to the daughter. I would nominate this guy for a Darwin Award, but he and the daughter both were released from the hospital Saturday afternoon, with no serious injuries. Lucky S.O.B.!!! Too bad you can't say the same for the boats or the boathouse...

We never did figure out exactly how he managed to squeeze in between these 2 boathouses. It's not like the one he hit is jutting out into the traffic or anything. It's a whole row of boathouse after boathouse, right next to each other. Pretty amazing!

AQUABOOM on the lake!!

Naturally, we didn't take any photos of the fireworks themselves, but they were the best ever! It was the 40th Anniversary of Aquaboom!, and Kingsland went all out. Afterwards, there were more fireworks at the bridge, along with a DJ and then Rotel and the Hot Tomatoes. It was a blast!
