They finished the living room! Now all we have to do is to sand, stain and seal it!

Remodel Day 2

After losing a day to the rain, they finished the living room ceiling today! There's going to be a cedar "beam" in the center, and we'll still need to sand, stain and seal it all.

End of Day 1

They got about 1/3 of the way up one side of the ceiling!

Living Room Remodel Before

Living room ceiling before the work started. Cool fake styrofoam beams, huh?

The living room before we moved everything out:

In the middle of tearing out the beams: They started about 8:30 am.

The smooth ceiling after beams and popcorn are gone:

2:30 pm: The first piece of pine is installed!!

Kitchen "Before"

The brick wall. Rich has to chip away the bricks that protrude out, to make the whole face of the wall smooth and even. (Yippee...sounds fun and not messy, huh?)
