Dixie Chips

This is Dixie's attempt to wrangle some chips from Mommy.
(From head on, she looked like she had no back feet!)

She stayed like this for a good 10 minutes!

Yes...it worked. She got a couple of chips.

Cheer Game 2 1/24/2009

January 24, 2009: 2nd Game

The dramatic entrance would be abit more effective if the cheer coach would get out of the way!

"Basket, Basket, Go for Two!"

"Upward, Upward, Grant Our Wish. All we wanna hear is 'swish, swish, swish'!"

Visit with the Great Aunts

Naturally, I forgot to take even one picture, but on Thursday, January 8, Summer, Mom and I drove to San Antonio to visit with Aunt Lillian and Aunt Erna. Aunt Janice, Aunt Judy, Michelle Clark and Caleb met us there, also. They are really looking great! We had a nice visit, cut a little short because we had to get back for Summer's first cheerleading practice that evening. Summer fell in love with Aunt Lillian's little pomeranian, Ladybug.

Next time I'll take pictures...

Hill Country Christmas Tree Lighting

Sunday, December 21, 2008
We went to Johnson City, out to the LBJ Ranch, for a tree lighting ceremony hosted by the
Johnson Family every year. They had a short ceremony giving the history of the tradition (started 39 years ago by President and Mrs. Johnson), and a prayer and reading of the Christmas Bible Story. If you recall, a front blew in that day, and it was FREEZING COLD! In the 30's with a stiff breeze! We skipped the candlelit farm and a visit with Santa Claus after the tree lighting. Brrrrrr!!!

Here we are by the cedar tree.

Poor Summer was trying to get sick.

This is at PEC Headquarters in Johnson City. Awesome!
